The "3D Box Section" head tube, down tube and top tube maximize strength by placing more material in critical areas to improve strength and provide the perfect balance of durability, weight, and performance. Sophisticated gusseting adds further reinforcement and support. Forged dropouts, disc brake reinforcement bridge, and replaceable derailleur hangers add long term insurance. - A1 Premium Aluminum
Every Hardrock frame utilizes A1 Premium Aluminum alloy tubing, our time-tested aluminum alloy material. The difference comes in our engineering and design team’s control over every phase of the alloy’s existence, from raw billet to finished frame. By controlling every aspect of construction, our A1 frames are able to affordably maximize strength-to-weight ratios and ride quality. - Frame geometry and rider position is appropriate for varied terrain, from challenging climbs to rocky descents.
